Kevin R. Hershberger, President of Lionheart Film Works, is currently filming a documentary celebrating the history and happenings at the site commemorating the 2nd permanent English settlement in the New World. There will be several versions of this film with the longest being thirty minutes long. The shorter versions of the documentary that have already been completed are exceptional films and demonstrate why Kevin’s company has received over sixty (60) national and international film festival and industry awards.

On Saturday, July 16, 2011, scenes depicting the first landing at Henricus of Sir Thomas Dale and his 300 well armed soldiers will be filmed near Henricus Historical Park. This is great opportunity for Henricus Citie Militia members to be immortalized on film. Filming will begin early in the day and will include several action packed scenarios including rowing to the riverbank in several period styled rowboats.
